Overview

Period Pals is a mobile app concept designed to help people access emergency menstrual products through community support. The idea allows users to request pads or tampons from nearby volunteers, making it easier to get help during unexpected situations while encouraging kindness and reducing stigma around menstruation.

My Role

As Team Leader and Creative Director, I led the team throughout the project, organizing meetup sessions and coordinating our workflow. I facilitated brainstorming sessions, delegated tasks among team members, and ensured everyone stayed on schedule. I also contributed to developing the app concept, refining the user experience, and presenting our solution to the judges.

Outcome

The project was awarded Silver in our school's innovation competition, recognizing the creativity and social impact of our solution. Through this experience, I strengthened my leadership, teamwork, communication and problem-solving skills while learning how to turn an idea into a well-developed project.
